AML & KYC Policy
1. Purpose and scope
We operate an evaluation service for traders and a proprietary replication program funded with the company's own capital. This policy sets out the measures we apply to prevent money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions breaches and payment fraud. It applies to every customer, every payment received and every payout made.
2. Customer identification (KYC)
- At registration, name, email, country of residence and confirmation that the customer is at least 18 years old and acting in their own name. One person, one identity: accounts are personal and non-transferable.
- Before the first payout, full identity verification through our verification provider: government-issued photo ID, liveness check, and address confirmation where required. No payout is released before verification is complete.
- Enhanced checks, applied where the amount, the pattern of activity, the jurisdiction or the payment method presents a higher risk, including source-of-funds questions where relevant.
3. Sanctions and restricted jurisdictions
Customers are screened against UK, EU and UN sanctions lists, and against politically exposed person (PEP) and adverse-media data. Residents of the countries listed on our Restricted Jurisdictions page are refused, at checkout and again at verification. A positive sanctions match ends the relationship and is reported to the competent authority.
4. Payments
- Payments are accepted only from an instrument held in the customer's own name. Third-party payments are refused and refunded.
- Payouts are made only to an account or wallet held in the verified customer's own name, in EUR by SEPA, by international wire or in cryptocurrency.
- Card payments are processed by regulated payment providers under 3-D Secure. We never store full card numbers.
- Refunds are returned to the original payment method, never to a different beneficiary.
5. Ongoing monitoring
We monitor account activity for patterns associated with abuse or laundering: coordinated trading across accounts, shared devices, addresses or beneficiaries, rapid purchase-and-payout cycles, and unusual payment behaviour. Alerts are reviewed by a human being; no account is closed by an automated decision alone, and every decision is supported by recorded data the customer can request.
6. Record-keeping
Identity records are kept for five years after the end of the customer relationship. Transaction and trading records are kept for six years. Records are stored securely and disclosed only to competent authorities or where the law requires it, see our Privacy Policy.
7. Reporting and responsibility
Suspicious activity is escalated internally and, where required, reported to the competent authority without informing the customer, as the law demands. Overall responsibility for this policy sits with the our directors. Questions and requests from payment partners, banks or authorities: support@abook-funded.uk, +33 1 89 62 63 60.
