Prop firms, then exhaustion
Gary did not start at A-Book Funded. He used other firms first, for the usual reason: size, without putting his savings on the line.
What he got instead was a ruleset he could not see until it was too late.
- Trailing drawdowns that cut him for being in profit
- Consistency rules that closed accounts with no warning
- Payouts denied on rules he says he had never been shown
That is why he left.
The switch
He found A-Book Funded and moved. He has not gone back. What he says changed:
- 100% A-book. The firm is not on the other side of his trade.
- Static drawdown. The limit does not climb behind him.
- Daily limit resets at midnight.
- Overnight holding allowed.
- A dashboard with a live consistency score, the minimum profit still needed, and a payout simulator.
If he misses the consistency threshold, he keeps trading until he hits it. No breach.
Eleven payouts since November 2025
Since passing in November 2025 he has taken 11 payouts, totalling $134,600, self-reported and on this firm only.
A career path, not a challenge shot
Gary's point is the path after the pass: scaling up to a 95% split, an A-book trader tier at $600,000, then an interview with the partner investment fund.
